Nurse Krista D’Agostino- Boston Marathon Victim James Costello’s Girlfriend/ fiancée

There is nothing so heartening as a tragic story that has a happy ending for some one. Today we have read about a victim of the Boston Marathon bombing and how his misfortune turned into good fortune.

We’ve all seen pictures of a man in shredded clothing, badly burned and trying to get away from the chaos of that dreadful day. While in the hospital, being treated for burns so bad that he would need pig skin grafts on most of his right arm and leg, he wondered why this happened. What purose was there in such suffering?

He was transferred to Spaulding Hospital to recover. There he met Nurse Krista D’Agostino. Soon after a few conversations, he says that he came to realize how kind she was as well as beautiful too. He got up the nerve to ask her to a benefit. She said yes. They continued dating and soon became inseperable.

Krista, who is a native of Massachusetts and turned 30 last August, accompanied him on a “Heroes Cruise”, sponsored by Vantage Deluxe World, with 110 other victims and first responders. It was an all expense paid trip to the south of France.

While in Lyon, a few days ago, James, also known as “Bim” to his friends, proposed to Krista and she accepted. He posted to friends, “I’m happy to announce that we will spend the rest of our lives together,’ he said. ‘I now realized why I was involved in the tragedy. It was to meet my best friend, and the love of my life.”

They will be returning from their trip on December 21. We’re sure that their friends and loved ones will be very happy to give them their best wishes in person.
