Sarah Brooke Gates is the loving and supportive wife of Rick Gates, born Richard W. Gates III –an associate working with former Trump campaign chairman, Paul Manafort. Through his work with Manafort, Gates has been directly linked to the Russia investigation led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
Her hubby is making headlines after, he along with Manafort, were charged by a federal grand jury with 12 counts – including conspiracy, money laundering, failing to register as foreign agents, and making false statements. Manafort had been the subject of an FBI investigation over links to a pro-Russia party in Ukraine. Sarah’s husband was advised to surrender to federal authorities this Monday.
Rick Gates –described as a Manafort protégé –also worked for the Trump campaign –helping wrangle delegates at the high-stakes 2016 Republican National Convention. As a former deputy campaign manager, Gates also helped start the nonprofit Americas First Policies.
During Manafort’s work with Ukraine, Gates allegedly traveled to Moscow to take meetings with Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska. His name has appeared on documents linked to companies that Manafort’s firm has set up to receive payments in Eastern Europe, according to the New York Times.
According to his LinkedIn , 45-year-old Gates lives in Virginia and is listed as the managing partner at Pericles LP. He began his career as an intern at Black, Manafort, Stone, Kelly — one of the most powerful lobbying firms in DC.

Gates also served as the head of a local neighborhood association in Virginia and is described by numerous reports as the “business” arm of Manafort’s activities –the two allegedly met as D.C. lobbyist decades ago.
According to online records, Sarah Brooke Gates –who must be mortified at her husband’s charges –was born Sarah Brooke Garnett in 1972. She has lived in Washington, D.C and is also listed as having lived in Richmond, Virginia.
She attended Tucker High School in Tucker, GA and graduated class of 1990.The 45-year-old is also the mother of the couple’s children, she either goes by Sarah Gates or Brooke Gates. According to the NY Times, Sarah Brooke Gates and her hubby took out a $1.5 million home loan in 2007.
From the indictment , Sarah’s longtime husband is accused of using money funneled through offshore accounts to pay for “his mortgage, children’s tuition, and interior decorating of his Virginia residence.”
