Jason Hoppy Bethenny Frankel’s Ex-Husband

Jason Hoppy is the estranged husband of Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel.



After five years of marriage, the couple who are the parents of one child, decided to call it quits in 2012.

Jason Hoppy was best known for his participation in the Bravo reality show alongside his then wife. But nowadays, he is known for the nasty separation he and Frankel have faced. The pair has also gone through an ugly custody battle over their only child.

Hoppy was born September 10, 1970 to parents Carol A. Hoppy, Robert M. Hoppy. He has one brother, Bryan.

Before becoming a reality TV husband, Jason Hoppy is a former Hazleton High School basketball standout. He played with the Mountaineers from 1987 to 1989. During the 1988-89 season, he was the leading scorer on the team, which won 28 straight games before losing to Penn Wood in the PIAA Class AAAA Eastern semifinals.

He went on to play basketball at the University of Scranton.

He played in the Men’s Basketball from 1989-1993. He was inducted into the school’s Wall of Fame.  Hoppy was a NABC All-American in 1993. That same year he became the recipient of the Frank O’Hara Award. He was also 6th All-Time Leading Scorer in Royals’ history .

He and Bethenny met in a New York City nightclub in November 2008 and were engaged in October.

They tied the knot on March 28, 2010 at the Four Seasons restaurant in New York City. Just two months later on May 8, 2010, they welcomed daughter Bryn Hoppy. jason-hoppy

He and Bethenny also appeared together on the show Bethenny Ever After, which chronicled the couple’s first year of marriage. It was pretty obvious the former couple had a roller-coaster relationship right from the beginning. They fought all the time!

As for his job, is not exactly clear what he does. He’s been described as a businessman and also as a medical sales representative. Accoridng to his LinkedIn, he is an account Executive at AbbVie –a pharmaceuticals company.

Most recently Hoppy was charged with harassing and stalking Frankel.
