Kelly Ojeda is known to have her hubby’s back. Earlier this year, she talked to the public about him on a social media post, and had this to say:

Just taking a moment to brag on my husband. I don’t do it nearly as much as I should so I decided to take the opportunity to do so now, before the election. Anyone who knows me knows I do not like politics at all. I do, however try to support my husband in almost everything he does. I can honestly say that everything he does is done for the right reasons. Richard Ojeda truly believes that Southern WV can be great again. He is so passionate about doing whats right for the people of our area that he sometimes gets a tiny bit worked up. Injustice isn’t something he tolerates well. I am sure you have all heard him say that he would rather fight than eat. True story! Anyone who has every worked with him knows he doesn’t stop. Some may say if he is elected he won’t accomplish anything because he will be the new guy. I SAY BULL!!! If that is the way our state and country are being ran, I say it’s time for voters to remind elected officials that their purpose is to be representatives for the people, not masters of the people. I can honestly say that Richie’s ability to motivate people is something that should not be overlooked. He is really good at it. Anyway, win or loose I am proud of him. He has worked tirelessly for months to find out what issues need immediate attention. If elected, I have no doubt that these issues will not be ignored.

Kelly Ojeda and Richard have been married since May 10, 1997.
