Linwood Michael Kaine
Linwood Michael Kaine also known as “Woody” is the second child born to Senator Tim Kaine –who was the vice presidential candidate mate along with Hillary Clinton.
Linwood’s dad is one of only 30 people in history to have served as a mayor, governor, and a U.S. Senator.
The young Kaine has made it all the way to the tabloids all by himself, however not for the best of reasons. According to reports, the 24-year-old is behind bars for second-degree riot. Woody allegedly got in trouble after the melee that took place in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Saturday during a rally in support of President Trump.
Linwood Michael Kaine was born in 1992, to Tim Kaine and his wife, former juvenile court judge Anne Holton. He is believed to have been named after his uncle, Abner Linwood “Woody” Holton III, a 2007 National Book Award finalist and professor at the University of South Carolina.
Woody is Gov. Kaine’s second child between oldest son Nat and daughter Annella.
He was around six, when his father first became mayor of Richmond and 13 when his family became Virginia’s First Family.
His older brother by two years, Nat Kaine is a former Marine Corps reservist and a graduate from George Washington University ROTC. His father announced during a speech last October he had been deployed, marking the beginning of a career in the military.
Their sister Annella is currently a student at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
As for Linwood Michael Kaine, he studied at Carleton College, a private liberal arts college in Minnesota. Woody runs his own blog and based on it, the young man shows an interest in the arts, specifically in film.
Not much more is known from Woody, he writes under the about section of his blog, which has not been recently updated:
“Any insight of true breadth and profundity will inevitably be reduced to words. And the words will inevitably be reduced to themselves.”
Up until now, Linwood Michael Kaine had maintained a bit of distance between him and the media. During his father’s election campaign, he was believed to be supportive but was not around.
According to Minnesota’s Pioneer Press, Linwood Michael Kaine was released from jail Tuesday and the city attorney is considering whether to file misdemeanor charges.
