Lora Blessing is the wife of actor, Jack Blessing –whom reports say passed away age 66 following a battle with pancreatic cancer. Blessing died Nov. 14 at his home in Chatsworth, California.



Lora’s TV star husband will be best remembered for his role on the hit ABC drama “Moonlighting.” The actor joined the cast of the hit ABC drama Moonlighting in its third season. He played a character named MacGillicuddy who worked at the Blue Moon Detective Agency run by Maddie Hayes (Cybill Shepherd) and David Addison (Bruce Willis). His character had an office rivalry with Curtis Armstrong’s Herbert.

Born July 29, 1951; the Maryland native also played Mr. Donner, an unbalanced building manager, in the sitcom “The Naked Truth” from 1995 to 1998. He also had roles in Murder One and Small and Frye.

More recently, Blessing portrayed Jack Powers on the ABC sitcom “George Lopez,” which ran from 2002 to 2007.

In addition to his extensive TV resume, Blessing also voice acted for characters in “Antz” (1998), “Open Season” (2006), “Bee Movie” (2007), “Megamind” (2010) and “ParaNorman” (2012), according to the Internet Movie Database. He also appeared in movies including “Heaven’s Gate” (1980), “Galaxy of Terror” (1981), “Thirteen Days” (2000) and “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” (2006).

He is survived by his wife, Lora Blessing and the couple’s two children.

During their marriage, Jack and Lora Blessing welcomed two sons. Lora Blessing is the proud mother of Christopher Lee Blessing and Ian James Blessing.

64-year-old Lora Blessing is a California resident, however according to social media info, she was born in Lakewood, Ohio as Lora Staley in July of 1953.

Lora Blessing attended Lakewood High School and went onto study at CSU/Nat’l Theatre School of Canada/Antioch. According to her Facebook, she is employed at Granada Hills Charter High School. Lora Blessing also lived at some point in Chicago, Illinois.

Son, Christopher Blessing is a Legal Rights Fellow at AFGE, while Ian Blessing is a Sommelier at The French Laundry.
