Kirsten Corley is the very proud wife of Grammy winner independent rapper, Chancellor Johnathan Bennett –whom you probably know best as Chance the Rapper.
Kirsten’s young and talented husband was born on April 16, 1993. The Chicago native has been making a name for himself in the industry since 2011 gaining recognition for his 2013 mixtape Acid Rap.
He had previously released his debut mixtape called 10 Day –which he made during a ten-day suspension from high school while on his senior year. Making it clear early on, he wanted to dedicate himself to music.
With the release of 10 Day, Chance grabbed the attention of Forbes magazine, which featured it in the publication’s Cheap Tunes column, as well as Childish Gambino, who asked Chance to join his 2012 tour of America as the opening act.
Aside from his solo career, he is also a member of the Chicago collective Save Money and has worked as the lead vocalist for the band The Social Experiment. They released the widely lauded album Surf in May 2015.
In 2016, Chance dropped a surprise mixtape titled Coloring Book, which debuted at number eight on the Billboard 200 album chart. The mixtape featured guest appearances from Kanye West, Justin Bieber, and Future; the single “No Problem,” featuring Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz, placed inside the Top 40. Coloring Book earned high praise from critics and helped Chance earn seven Grammy nominations.
There’s no doubt Chance is going nowhere but up from now on, and with him, his lovely little family.
Meet Mrs. Corley
Kirsten Corley is also a Chicago native. She began dating the rapper back in 2013. Two years later the couple announced they were expecting their first child together. Kristen Corley gave birth to a baby daughter named Kinsley Bennett, in September 2015.
The rapper, who has referred to his daughter in interviews and lyrics often posts about her on social media. He’s also referred to Corley as “the baddest chick” in his life.
However, is not clear if the pair are still together. In 2016, the pair made sure that both are recognized as daughter Kinsley’s parents. The Chicago Tribune reported that Corley had filed a petition to have Chance the Rapper named as Kinsley’s father on her birth certificate. The filing also included a child support agreement. The publication stated that Corley requested to be the “sole caretaker” of Kinsley, and that Chance the Rapper would be responsible for expenses related to her birth as well as attorney’s fees.
Not many details are known about Kirsten Corley since as her man, she also keeps a very low-key internet presence. Some sites say Kirsten Corley played basketball while in high school; there is also a Kirsten Corley who’s done some modeling and another Kirsten Corley on Facebook which says is a marketing intern. But, it bears saying that it’s entirely unconfirmed.
