Holly Knowlton is the wife of 41-years of retired Gen. David Petraeus. Her husband a former CIA director who retired as a four-star general in August 2011 has reached a plea deal with the Justice Department, concluding a years-long investigation against Petraeus for providing classified information to his former mistress, married mom Paula Broadwell.
She was born Hollister “Holly” Knowlton in 1953; the daughter of Army General William A. Knowlton. At the time her father was the West Point superintendent. She attended Dickinson College and graduated summa *** laude.
The couple met while Petraeus was still a cadet, and two months following his graduation, they wed.
The couple tied the knot in 1974. Holly gave birth to the couple’s two children: daughter Anne and son, Stephen.
You can’t help to feel for Holly, following her husband’s 2011-2012 affair; she’s had an impeccable reputation. Among her positions we can mention being the assistant Director for the Office of Service member Affairs at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) , former director of the Better Business Bureau’s Military Line.
