Faith Hill met her full brother Zachary while searching for her birth mother, Paula White, in 1993. The happiness of finding her mother and brother was tempered when she learned that her biological father, Edwin White had been killed in a car crash many years previously.
Brother Zachary had been having problems of his own before he met Faith. He had been arrested in November of 1990 for trying to snatch a woman’s purse in Florida. He claimed to police that he’d done it to support a crack cocaine addiction. He also told police that he’d done the same four days earlier in the same Winter Park parking lot.
Unfortunately, two months later he was again arrested, this time for stealing a silver Mazda. He tried to get the owner to give him $200.00 to have it returned. He pleaded no contest to a third-degree grand theft felony and three misdemeanors, and was sentenced to two 18-month sentences of community control and ordered to complete a one-year residential program that included drug counseling.
Three years later, he met his sister, Faith. He was on the road to recovering from his addiction by then, and says that she has been the main reason he’s stayed clean. He is now a trusted member of Tim and Faith’s inner circle, and has visited her often at her various homes.
Now the Florida businessman is trying to save his sister’s marriage. He’s acted as mediator in some of the couple’s worst moments and helped them talk through their differences. He says of them, “both are amazing down to earth people, their love and support has been nothing short of extraordinary”.
Zachary White is really doing everything he can to keep these two great country icons together. We hope he succeeds!
