The lifeless body of 18-year-old Lauren Daverin was found partially nude around 10 p.m. Thursday on the Mill Pond footbridge spanning eastbound Merrick Road in Rockville Centre. Maxwell T. Sherman, 19 who said he met Lauren and her group of friends just for a couple of minutes when he walked by for a smoke, Sherman was charged with second-degree murder he is being held without bail for the murder of Lauren. It was later reported Mrs. Daverin Gresham’s cause of death was strangulation.
Lauren Daverin Gresham is survived by her beloved mother Kathleen Daverin, sisters Suzanne Caldeira, Catherine Daverin, Michelle Daverin, Kelsey Daverin, and brother Frankie, also by her loving husband of less than a year Kashawn Gresham, an Air Force Airman who according to media flew home for the funeral arraignments of his beautiful Lauren.
To my wife: You will always be loved a lot, and you made me the luckiest man in the world,” Wrote Kashawn Gresham, at the crime scene where his young wife took her last breath.
According to Kashawn Gresham’s best man Peter Wadkins Kashawn and Lauren got married 10 months ago, during a civil ceremony celebrated last October. 23-year-old Kashawn B. Gresham from Freeport, NY was born on April 4, 1990 to Linda Gresham, 62. Kashawn has three siblings older sisters Janair, 33 and Kimberly, 29 and younger brother Tasheem, 21.
Kashawn Gresham graduated in 2008 from Baldwin High School in Baldwinsville, NY where he was part of the jump and Track team that competed at the Boys Suffolk Coaches Invitational in 2008. Mr. Gresham is an Air Force Airman 1st Class stationed in Bossier City, La.
Lauren’ Daverin’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 8:00pm, Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Home located on 125 W Old Country Rd Hicksville, NY 11801-4007
