Dukagjin Lipa is the proud father of British singer/songwriter Dua Lipa –who stole the show at the Brits!

Dukagjin’s daughter has been making a splash since she began showing an interest in music aged 14. The stunner began turning heads by posting covers on YouTube and by 2015 she had signed with Warner Music.

Born Dua Lipa on August 22, 1995; she made her big debut in 2017 with her debut album which spawned seven singles, including two UK top-10 singles “Be the One” and “IDGAF” and the UK number-one single “New Rules.”

It’s safe to say the 23-year-old star has taken the music world by storm but it is her father whom we want to tell you about.

Dua was accompanied by her dad, Dukagjin Lipa –at the Brits last night and we couldn’t help noticing she definitely gets her good looks from him and perhaps her talent too!

As it turns out, Dukagjin Lipa –an Albanian native –used to be in a band where he was the lead vocalist. Dukagjin Lipa served as the frontman of a Kosovar rock band named Oda. He is the son of historian, Seit Lipa, who served as the head of the Kosovo Institute of History back in the 90’s.

Dukagjin then met and tied the knot to Dua’s mother Anesa Rexha Lipa and became a family man. In addition to Dua, the couple are also parents to her younger siblings, Rina and Gjin.

Following his marriage, Dukagjin traded the stage for a real job. He now works in marketing. According to his LinkedIn, he is listed as the CEO & Executive Creative Director at REPUBLIKA Marketing Communications Agency –which he founded in 2008. He was previously the marketing creative director at IPKO Telecommunications. He is also listed as the Sunny Hill Festival Director and Sunny Hill Foundation President.

Dukagjin Lipa actually studied dentistry at both University of Prishtina and University of Sarajevo though is unclear if he finished. In 2002 he earned a diploma in Marketing and Advertising from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and holds a Master’s Degree, Mass Communications and Journalism from KIJAC Institute of Journalism and Communication.
