Meet Louis John Ruggiero, the husband of 29 years of Good Day New York’s anchor Rosanna Scotto.
Lawyer Louis and Rosanna tied the knot on September 14, 1986. At the time of their nuptials Rosanna was a reporter for Channel 5 News in New York while Ruggiero was an associate in the law firm of J. M. Furey & R. J. Furey in Hempstead, L.I. Msgr.
He grew up with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Dominick Ruggiero in Rosedale, Queens.
His father-in-law is former Gambino boss Anthony Scotto who was arrested in 1979 on federal bribery and racketeering charges. He was convicted for receiving cash payoffs of more than $200,000.
The couple who’s been married for nearly 3 decades are the parents of two children, son Louis Ruggiero and daughter, Jenna Ruggiero.
The couple’s 20-year-old son was charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a forged instrument after he was caught in possession of a channel purse, cocaine and a false ID while walking out of a Manhattan club Sunday morning.
Luckily his father knows what do to in this cases. Louis J. Ruggiero received his law degree from Hofstra University, his son had no prior arrests and was released after he acknowledged his mistake.
