Meet Justin Hodak

Justin Hodak is Fuller House actress, Jodie Sweetin’s hunky boyfriend. The 34-year-old former child star, has had an exciting start to this year.

She not only got engaged back in January to her beau, Justin Hodak, but she’s also been revealed as one of the contestants in the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars.

Sweetin is the first cast member announced in the line-up for season 22 of the hit reality TV dance competition. The announcement was made today on Good Morning America. She is paired up with Keo Motsepe.

Jodie made a name for herself playing Stephanie Tanner in the hit sitcom “Full House.” The spin-off, “Fuller House,” premiered on Netflix last month.

Jodie Sweetin was born Jodie Lee Ann Sweetin on January 19, 1982, in Los Angeles, California. She is the adopted daughter of her uncle, Sam, a handyman, and Janice, a wedding coordinator.

After booking several national commercials, she was cast in a guest spot on the series Valerie. At age 5, she debuted as Full House’s Stephanie Tanner, the middle sister of three.

After the show ended in 1995, Sweetin continued to perform, appearing in the big-screen releases, such as Small Bits of Happiness, Redefining Love and Port City.

Jodie has been married three times. She was first married at age 20, to husband, Shaun Holguin –an L.A. police officer. The couple divorced in 2006.

In 2007 she met Cody Herpin, a film transportation coordinator. They tied the knot on July 14, that year. She and Cody are the parents of one child, daughter, Zoie Laurelmae Herpin, born April 12, 2008. They were separated in late 2008 and their divorced was finalized in 2010.

By then, she had been dating Morty Coyle with whom she became a mother for the second time. Their daughter Beatrix Carlin Sweetin-Coyle was born August 31, 2010. She tied the knot to Coyle in 2012 and filed for legal separation by mid 2013.

Jodie who struggled with substance abuse for years, has been dating Justin Hodak – for some time now. Jodie and Justin Hodak met through mutual friends years ago and reconnected a couple of years ago, the Daily Mail reported.  He’s been pictured next to Jodie attending several red carpet events.

He’s also a recovered addict. Justin Hodak has been sober for over a decade. He posted an Instagram picture saying:

“I can’t believe it’s been 11 years. I can remember where I come from. My life is completely different than it was 11 years ago. #sobriety #loveisreal”

Justin Hodak is also a parent. He has a daughter and is also close to Jodie’s daughters.

Accoridng to Radar Online, during his dark years, Justin Hodak served time in prison for drugs. Accoridng to court documents, Justin Hodak, served nine months in a California prison starting in 1999. He was was convicted on “drug and stolen property charges,” California Department of Corrections Public Information Officer Bill Sessa revealed.

And that’s not all, After committing a parole violation, Justin was back behind bars from January to March 2001.

According to records online, the 39-year-old has worked for Community Recovery Los Angeles and Seasons Recovery Center.
