Lori Flynn
Lori Flynn is the wife of former Army general and DIA director, Michael Flynn. Her 57-year-old husband who retired in 2014 has been making headlines for his close link to presidential candidate Donald Trump. There’s even talk about the former general becoming Trump’s running mate.
Born circa 1959 in Middletown, Rhode Island, Michael Flynn is one of nine children of Helen and late Charles Flynn –a veteran of World War II and Korea and a retired Army sergeant first class.. Growing up, Michael Flynn worked at local restaurants and as a lifeguard, graduating Middletown High School in 1977. Flynn earned a B.S. in Management at the University of Rhode Island, where he participated in the ROTC program, in 1981. Flynn has since earned an MBA in Telecommunications from Golden Gate University, an M.A. in Military Arts and Sciences from the United States Army Command and General Staff College, and an M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College.
Commissioned an Army second lieutenant in 1981, Flynn became an intelligence officer, platoon leader, and then instructor in his early days.
Flynn served as the Assistant Chief of Staff, G2, XVIII Airborne Corps at Fort Bragg, North Carolina from June 2001 and the Director of Intelligence, Joint Task Force 180 in Afghanistan until July, 2002. He commanded the 111th Military Intelligence Brigade from June 2002 to June 2004, and was director of intelligence for Joint Special Operations Command from July 2004 to June 2007, with service in the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. He served as the director of intelligence, United States Central Command from June 2007 to July 2008,and director of intelligence, Joint Staff from July 11, 2008 to June 14, 2009. Flynn assumed duties as the Chief, CJ2, International Security Assistance Force, with the additional appointment as the CJ2, US Forces–Afghanistan on June 15, 2009. As such, he was NATO’s director of military intelligence.
He is given credit for cleaning up the most extreme practices; what is unclear is whether he did so because they were morally wrong or merely inefficient.
His awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal (with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters), Legion of Merit (with Oak Leaf Cluster), Bronze Star Medal (with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters), Meritorious Service Medal (with Silver Oak Leaf Cluster), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters), the NATO Service Medal, and several service and campaign ribbons. Major General Flynn also has earned the Ranger Tab and Master Parachutist Badge, and the Joint Staff Identification Badge.
His brother, Charles A. Flynn, was promoted to Army Brigadier General in September 2011.
Flynn is married to his high school sweetheart, Lori Flynn. and is the mother of the couple’s two children. Lori Flynn is the former Lori Andrade, she and her hubby have two adult sons: Michael and Matt Flynn.
The couple has been married for over 30-years, which makes Lori Flynn an expert in being a military wife. Talking about his long time wife, Gen. Flynn has had nothing but good things to say about his wife. Lori Flynn has been a steady presence in the lives of thousands of soldiers and their families during his numerous deployments and has played the role of not only mom, but dad, coach, teacher, and at times, taxi driver for the couple’s sons, Michael as well as for hundreds of other children. The wife and mother of two has always been willing to volunteer her time for others.
Accoridng to her Facebook page, Lori Lynn has been married to Mike Flynn since May 9, 1981. She attended Middleton High School in Rhode Island.
The couple’s son, Michel G Flynn, is the Chief of staff at Flynn Intel Group.

Michael Flynn –who previously served as Donald Trump’s national security adviser –has been charged with making a false statement to the FBI, as part of the Mueller investigation.
Flynn is accused of making false statements to the FBI in the investigation of Russia meddling in the 2016 presidential election. In other words, Flynn lied about meeting the Russian ambassador before Trump took office.
He becomes the most senior member of the Trump administration so far to have been indicted.
Flynn was scheduled to appear at a plea hearing at 10.30am in Washington DC. He was expected to plead guilty to one count of knowingly making “false, fictitious and fraudulent statements.”
