Artist and songwriter MIA (her full name is Mathangi “Maya” Arulpragasam), best known for her single “Paper Planes”, is accusing her ex, Benjamin Bronfman, and his billionaire family of trying to take his son away from her.

“BEN you cant take my son away from me ‘The mother” . Just because you have money doesn’t mean you have the right ,” she tweeted on Wednesday.

The tweets were soon deleted, but according to Radar Online she also posted:

“Every child needs the MOTHER , I GREW UP WITHOUT A DAD . If grew up without my mother i wouldn’t be here.”
