38-year-old actress Whitney Wellner and hubby, actor Jon Wellner are calling it quits after 7-years of marriage!
Recent reports indicate her husband Jon, who plays toxicologist Henry Andrews in CSI has filed for divorce and says his wife acting career never picked up and probably never will!
The actress who is originally from Riverwoods, Illinois is known for her work in Save the Last Dance (2001), Moonshine Inc. (2009) and Kwik Stop (2001).
The couple met in 1996 in Chicago. Jon was working the comedy section at Borders Books and Music when the new coffee barista Whitney walked in for her first day. They fell in love, moved to Los Angeles and tied the knot in 2008.
At one point in their once happy marriage, the couple tried to grow their family by adopting a child. A page can still be found in which it talks about their desire to become parents.
It says 38-year-old Whitney enjoys Pilates, sewing, volunteering with dog rescue charities and writing while Jon enjoys stand up comedy, gardening, biking and music. They end up their self advert saying:
Please know that by far the most important thing to us is family. We are looking forward to providing a child with a life of love, affection and a home filled with laughter and joy making for the best childhood experience one could hope for.
According to the divorce document, Whitney is requested by her soon-to-be-ex to quit her failing acting career and get another job! And according to her Facebook page, she has a job as an Assist. Manager at Saving SPOT! Dog Rescue.
