Michael & Aimie Kachingwe
Michael & Aimie Kachingwe are the proud parents of actress, singer, and songwriter bombshell, Tinashe.
Their daughter born Tinashe Jorgensen Kachingwe on February 6, 1993; has been active in the entertainment industry since 2000 and has since appeared in a number of TV shows. Tinashe, whom you may recall from TV work on Two & Half Men or the film The Polar Express –was also in a musical group called The Stunners.
In 2012, following her split from the group, she released very successful mixtapes “In Case We Die” and “Reverie.” After signing with RCA she made her album debut with Aquarius in 2014, receiving critical acclaim. Since then, the talented brunette has released two other albums, Nightride in 2016 and most recently Joyride –released earlier this year.
No doubt Michael & Aimie Kachingwe are super proud of their daughter, in addition to her success, reports say she will be appearing in the upcoming season 27 of Dancing With The Stars. But enough about Tinashe, did you know her father hails from Zimbabwe?
Michael Kachingwe is a native of Zimbabwe and happens to be an acting college professor. According to his LinkedIn, Kachingwe is a drama professor at Cal Poly Pomona. Michael has also performed in over 40 productions including theatrical engagements at the Kennedy Center. In addition to his theatrical performing credits, Michael has appeared in film and television and several national commercials.
Michael has also directed over 50 theatrical productions, vocal coached over 40 productions, and fight choreographed over 30 productions.

As for Mrs. Kachingwe, she is of Irish, English descent and is also a college professor. Aimie Kachingwe met her future husband on a blind date while both attended University of Iowa.
She is a professor of Physical Therapy at California State University. Aimie also studied at Northern Illinois University and University of St. Augustine.
Michael & Aimie Kachingwe are also the proud parents of Tinashe’s two younger brothers, Kudzai and Thulani.
