Carol Fletcher is the longtime wife of British TV and film actor, John Michie. For those not familiar with British shows, Carol’s hubby rose to fame with roles in some of Britain’s best known television programs.

Carol’s hubby is famed for his roles as DI Robbie Ross in detective drama series Taggart and as Karl Munro in Coronation Street.

John Michie was born October 25, 1956 in Burma but was raised in Kenya until the age of 12. His family moved to Edinburgh for his teenage years until he spent a year as a jackaroo herding cattle in Australia at the age of 19. He then became interested in acting after working as a stage hand in at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh.

In 1998 he embarked on the role of DI Robbie Ross, in the long-running Scottish police drama Taggart –role he played until 2010. He then played Karl Munro in Coronation Street from 2011 to 2013.

He currently plays neurosurgeon Guy Self in BBC medical dramas Holby City as well as in Casualty.

The 60-year-old and his wife Carol Fletcher –a former Hot Gossip dancer have been together for nearly three decades.

According to her profile on Arts & Media School, Carol danced professionally for 15 years in theatre and on TV. She became a choreographer in 1980 and began directing pop videos in 1983. During this time she researched three series of Riverside, an arts program, for BBC. She has served as governor parent for the school since 2000.

Carol Fletcher met her long-term partner while they were making a Walkers crisps ad. According to the Daily Record, Carol, was doing choreography and John was doing the dancing and eating the crisps.

At the time John thought she was gorgeous and asked for her number. A few days later they went on their first date and have stuck together since.

The couple recently lost one of their three children.

Carol Fletcher and Michie lost their youngest child, Louella Michie while she attended this years’ Bestival –a four-day music festival held in the south of England.

The couple’s daughter was found in remote woodland on the edge of the Bestival site in Dorset in the early hours of Monday, her 25th birthday.

Carol Fletcher gave birth to the pretty blonde in 1992, at the time hubby John Michie was acting in Wilson’s play Women Laughing. Louella Michie was a model and dancer. She studied performing arts at the Tiffany Theatre College in Essex before teaching yoga in Dalston, East London.

Carol Fletcher and John Michie are also the parents to Louella’s older siblings, Daisy, 27, a stylist, and Samuel, 26, a music video director.

A suspect has been arrested in connection for Miss Michie’s death. The family has asked for privacy during this time.
