Banker David Thomas Rubulotta is the husband of CNN anchor Erin Burnett. His wife of over six years, doesn’t seem to understand why it’s inappropriate to refer to young Baltimore protesters as “thugs” the Huffington Post reports.

David met Erin on a blind date, eight years before they tied the knot. He popped the question on September 2011 –almost at the same time her new CNN gig had been announced –and walked down the isle on December 2012 in a low-key City Hall ceremony; they later held a reception at Atlantic Grill.

David is a Citigroup executive more accurately he is a managing director in high-yield sales at Citibank. Previously to joining CNBC –where Burnett made a name for herself –she worked as vice president of Citigroup/CitiMedia.

Prior to his current position, Dave was employed by Lehman Brothers where he worked in trading.
He is a Villanova University graduate and also holds an MBA from Columbia.

Nearly a year after their nuptials, David and Erin welcomed their first child together, Erin gave birth to son Nyle Thomas Burnett Rubulotta on December 2013.

Erin said during an interview about the birth of her son; ‘Seeing him for the first time was the most awe-inspiring, joyful moment of our lives,’
