Divergent’s actress Shailene “Shai” Woodley has been described as the next big thing, what do you think?
Shailene Diann Woodley was born November 15, 1991 in Simi Valley, California to Lori, a middle school counselor, and Loni, a school principal. She also has a younger brother, Tanner. Although her parents are divorced, she stated they still spend the holidays together.
She might be 22-year-old but the accomplished Shailene has under her lovely name over a dozen awards and nominations, some of them include: 2005 Nominated Young Artist Awards Best Performance in a TV Movie, Miniseries, or Special: Leading Actress A Place Called Home, 2006 Nominated Best Performance in a TV Movie, Miniseries, or Special (Comedy or Drama): Leading Actress, Felicity: An American Girl Adventure, 2009 Nominated Teen Choice Awards Choice TV Actress Drama The Secret Life of the American Teenager, 2010 Won Gracie Award Outstanding Female Rising Star in a Drama Series, Nominated Teen Choice Awards Choice TV Actress Drama, Nominated Choice Summer TV Star Female, among others.
Woodley had her first audition at the age of five years and gained major recognition for portraying the troubled daughter of George Clooney in the 2011 film The Descendants. But, before her film debut came, her most memorable TV work so far has been for portraying Amy Juergens in the ABC Family series, The Secret Life of the American Teenager.

Shailene has kept things relatively quiet, people have been looking at the links between her and her co-stars, particularly one from the upcoming ‘Divergent’. During the 2013 VMA’s Woodley and co-star Miles Teller were said to have been looking slightly cozy in each other’s company but nothing was confirmed. She was also linked to her on-screen boyfriend Daren Kagasoff and actor Shiloh Fernandez.
And although we don’t believe this for a second, but then again in Hollywood you never know! Most recently she was pictured alongside 41-year-old actor Jared Leto.
