The Lost Boys actor Jason Patric donated his sperm to his on-again-off girlfriend Danielle Schreiber instead of money, Danielle gave birth to their child and then Jason wanted to have legal right over the child, those were not granted by a judge because Jason is just a sperm donor. Ouch!
46-year-old Jason Patric who has been linked to Julia Roberts, Christie Turlington and Jennifer Jason Leigh, made a deal with his ex-girlfriend Danielle Schreiber.
43-year-old Danielle Schreiber from L.A dated Jason for more than ten years, they first broke up in 2009, it seems that Danielle asked him for money of he thought he ought to give her some, but because he told her he didn’t have any he offered her a deal, spear instead of cash and she agreed.
And so it was that on December, 2009 Danielle Schreiber gave birth to her son Gus, Jason had to involvement in Gus’ life nor did he gave Danielle any child support money, she didn’t ask him either, but then Jason became close to Schreiber’s son.
They even got back together, things didn’t work out though and decided to split up once again last May, but Jason was not planning to leave Gus, and so why not make it legal, after Gus is her son, right?
Patric filed legal documents in family court asking a judge to award him 50/50 custody late in 2012, Danielle was given with a temporary sole legal and physical custody of her son by a judge, while Jason has visitation rights.
Ms. Schreiber Danielle has granted Jason with the right to spend time with Gus, but there is no way she think he should get legal rights over the custody of her son not even visitation rights, he might be the father but he will always be the guy who traded his sperm for cash, no strings attach.
And the judge agreed on that one, because Jason made a deal with his ex Danielle Schreiber to give her his sperm instead of money, that made him a sperm donor, no a father who get obtained legal custody or visitation rights, it the law!
“If a man donates sperm to a woman to whom he is NOT married and she’s inseminated with the help of a doctor … the man has no paternity rights or claim of custody.”
Case close! at least for now.
