Mary Donnelly-Haskell is the loving and supportive wife of Sam Haskell –best known for serving as the CEO of the Miss America Organization.



Mary’s husband is in the midst of a controversy following the revelation of sexist emails about past winners and contestants. As a result, Sam Haskell is now being pressured to step down from his CEO position.

Reports say Mallory Hagan –crowned Miss America in 2013 was described as “trashy” and “huge” in an email written by Haskell. Numerous emails written over a span of three years were published in a Huffington Post report. The report clearly expose Sam engaging in offensive conversations.

The former worldwide head of television at the William Morris Agency, Haskell left the agency in 2004, and joined the board of MAO the following year. He was named CEO in 2015.

Haskell is also currently a partner and executive producer with Dolly Parton on her Christmas specials for NBC, including “Coat of Many Colors” and “Christmas of Many Colors.”

He and Mary Donnelly-Haskell have been married for over three decades. The two met while attending college.

Mary Donnelly is an actress originally from Beaumont, Texas. She is also a former beauty pageant winner. In 1997 she was crowned Miss Mississippi. The lovely blonde is an UM undergraduate. As a singer, she often performed with the Mississippians Jazz Ensemble.

According to her acting profiles, she has participated in a few TV shows form the 90’s. In 1996 she appeared in 7th Heaven, Saved by the Bell: Wedding in Las Vegas and Seduced by Madness: The Diane Borchardt Story.

She and Sam tied the knot on December 28, 1982. The marriage of 35-years are the parents of two adult children son, Sam Haskell IV and daughter, Mary Lane Haskell.

The couple’s daughter Mary Lane –has followed into the steps of her mother as a singer and actress in her own right. Mary Lane Haskell has performed at Carnegie Hall with Michael Feinstein and Elaine Stritch, serves on the Great American Songbook board and appears regularly on TV series and movies. Most recently, she was featured on NBC as Miss Moody in the Dolly Parton movie “Christmas of Many Colors.”

The mother-daugther duo have performed together, including the successful production of “Hello, Dolly!” and “Sounds of Stage & Screen” concert, both held at the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts.
