According to reports Paul McCartney’s ex-wife Heather Mills was accused of physical harassment by an Paralympic official named Sylvana Mestre after she was verbally abused and physically harassed by Mills after she was told her equipment had not been ratified.
“I was trying to explain to her that this is not the equipment we approved earlier in the year and then that was it, she exploded,” said Mestre.
“She jumped on me. She started to say I was a bitch. She grabbed me from the back and she started to say that ‘you don’t know who I am, I will make your life miserable’. I don’t understand the reaction.”
Spaniard Paralympic official Sylvana Mestre attended at Petania Patmos school in Barcelona, Spain, she then graduated from the Facultad de Medicina de Barcelona in 1975. Mrs. Maestre speaks Spanish, Catalan, English, French and Italian fluently.
She became a member of the AMA-WDA Education committee in 2009, and serves as chair at the STC Alpine Skiing for the International Paralympic Committee since March, 2002. Sylvana was a coach at the Federacion Espanola de Ciegos (F.E.D.C) from 1998-2010, She is also the co-founder at Asociacion Play and Train.
Sylvana Mestre was awarded with the Institut Barcelona Esports Honor “Dono I Esport- Mireia Tapiador” in 2011, with the Spirit Sport Award in May, 2012, and in March, 2013 the IPC Women in Sports Committee honored her at the International Women’s day Recognition.
