Rocxanne Deschamps
Rocxanne Deschamps or Roxanne Deschamps is the family friend who took Lynda Cruz’ adopted sons Zachary and Nikolas Cruz after she died from pneumonia on November 1, 2017. Ms. Deschamps told Nikolas she was more than happy to have him and his young brother in her house, but there was no way she was letting him keep his guns inside her mobile home in Lantana.
“He bought a gun and wanted to bring it into my house. Violence and gun not accepted in my house!” Rocxanne Deschamps said publicly in comments that have since been removed from her Facebook page.
While Nikolas moved out of Rocxanne’s home and moved in with James and Kimberly Snead, his brother Zachary ,18, stayed at the Lantana home. Some people said that unlike Nikolas, Zachary Cruz (pictured above) was well-behaved; however, a family friend contradicted that statement and said, Zach also had issues, and like his older brother, he was also taking medication.

No money from Cruz
According to recent reports, Zachary and Nikolas were adopted by Roger and Lynda Cruz at birth. The boys have the same mother, but a different father.
Sources close to Mrs. Deschamps, a single mother of two and longtime friends of Lynda Cruz said she never received any money from Lynda Cruz.
“Rocxanne never received anything from the Cruz family, everything has been out of her pocket; she tried to do the right thing and it backfired.”
“She is stressed of course. She’s known this child for a long time. He’s like her nephew.”
42-year-old Rocxanne born on April 9, 1975, filed a petition Thursday to administer Lynda Cruz’s estate.
Ms. Deschamps who shares custody of her two sons with her ex-fiancee Paul Gold, met Lynda Cruz and her two sons when they lived next to her in Parkland, Florida.
Records online showed Ms. Deschamps who works at a company that employs yacht crew; was 36, when she was arrested for fraud in November 2011.
