Mayumi Kai is the wife of late English musician, singer and dancer Keith Flint –best known as the lead vocalist of the electronic band, The Prodigy.

Mayami’s husband is said to have committed suicide and was found March 4, at his home in Essex, following welfare check calls. He was 49-years-old.

Keith Charles Flint was born September 17, 1969; the English man achieved fame as the frontman of band, The Prodigy as well as his own band, Flint. He grew up with dyslexia, dropped out of school aged 15, and worked as a roofer before joining the Prodigy.

With his punk aesthetic of piercings and spiked hair Flint became one of the UK’s most iconic musical figures in the 1990s. Aside from their 1992 debut, all of the group’s seven albums have reached No 1 in the UK, the most recent being No Tourists, released in November 2018.

In addition to music, Flint was also a motorcycle racer and owner of the team, Team Traction Control. He is survived by wife Mayumi Kai. The couple were married in 2006. Flint previously dated Gail Porter. He widely credited Kai for saving his life from drugs, however reports say they were separated at the time of his death.

Mayumi Kai is also a musician in her own right. Kai who was born in Japan –is a DJ and music producer, signed to Universal Music. Her stage named is DJ Gedo Super Mega B**chj. She was announced as the opening act for The Prodigy’s 2012 tour to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the band’s album, “The Fat of the Land.”

In addition to her music career, she is also an actress and model. She is currently in Tokyo for a DJ gig at the nightclub Atom Tokyo. The couple loved travelling around Europe together and did not have children.
