Meet Judith Bess Jones
Judith Bess Jones was the wife of 58-years of retired film, stage, radio and television actor, Martin Sam Milner better known only as Martin Milner, who sadly passed away aged 83.
Reports say Judith Bess Jones’s husband died peacefully at home on Saturday, September 6.
The beloved actor is survived by wife, Judith Bess Jones, as well as three of his four children; his daughter, Molly, and his sons, Stuart, and Andrew.
Milner was best known for two of his roles, he played Tod Stiles in CBS television series, Route 66, from 1960 to 1964. In 1968, he played LAPD veteran uniform patrol Officer Peter Joseph “Pete” Malloy in the Jack Webb-produced police drama, Adam-12.
Judith’s husband had a six-decade long acting career but is credited to have inspired many to join the careers in law enforcement due to his TV character.
Martin Milner was bon December 28, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan, but was raised in Seattle. He became involved in acting while still in school. After the family moved to Los Angeles when he was in his teens, he began studying acting and made his debut in the 1947 film Life with Father.
He went to serve for two years in the US Army and returned to acting with a recurring role in The Life of Riley. Milner had guest appearances on a number of television shows.
Judith Bess Jones is Judith Bess “Judy” Jones –a singer and actress. She met her husband at a Hollywood party in 1956, they were married less than a year later. Judith Bess Jones became Mrs. Milner in Waukegan, Illinois on February 1957. Judith Bess Jones and her husband became the parents of four children, Amy, Molly, Stuart and Andrew. Their eldest daughter, Amy –who followed into her parents steps in acting –died aged 46 of Leukemia in 2004. Amy Milner, actually had a role in Adam-12.
According to IMBd, Judith Bess Jones performed in the 1958 filmed named “Cool and Lam.” Following her marriage to Milner she is believed to have dedicated herself into raising her children and put her career aside.
