Late Sunday we heard about the shooting in Garland, Texas outside a community center that was hosting an event displaying cartoons of the prophet Muhammad.
Arizona man, Elton Simpson has been identified as the main suspect.
Authorities say it is believed Elton twitted about the attack about half an hour before it took place, he used the hashtag #TexasAttack.
The details of his involvement get even more obscure as an FBI official revealed Elton, was previously the subject of a terror investigation.
Reports form ABC News say today, FBI agents and a bomb squad conducted a search at Simpson’s home.
Simpson resided in an apartment complex in north Phoenix and had a roommate, believed to be the other gunman. Simpson and the second suspect –who has not been publicly identified –opened fire but were both fatally shot by security guards. No one was killed.
Is not hard to imagine Simpson –who was born in Illinois –pulling this kind of stunts; FBI reveals five-years-ago he was convicted for lying to federal agents about his plans to travel to Africa where investigators alleged he planned to join a terror group.
Without enough evidence, he was only sentenced to three years’ probation for lying to investigators.
