Michael Gandolfini is the proud son of late TV/Film actor, James Gandolfini –who gave life to the iconic role of Tony Soprano.
Michael’s father who died in 2013, won multiple Emmys, SAG Awards and a Golden Globe in an anti-hero role that made possible for bad guys to be loved.
But is now Michael’s turn to shine as he has been casted to play a young Tony in the prequel to David Chase’s groundbreaking TV series, The Sopranos –regarded as one of the greatest drama series ever. Michael who endured an extensive audition process was ultimately chosen to play the future New Jersey organized crime family boss in ‘The Many Saints of Newark.’

#1 He was born to his father’s first wife
Michael Gandolfini was born in 1999 when his father was married to his first wife Marcy Wudarski. His parents divorced in 2002 –after roughly three years of marriage.
#2 He has a half-sister
Michael has a sister, Liliana Ruth Gandolfini –born in 2012, from his father’s second marriage to former actress and model, Deborah Lin. James and Lin were married from 2008 until his death in 2013.
#3 He followed into his father’s footsteps
Michael who has an uncanny resemblance to his father, decided to pursue a career in the industry. The aspiring actor had a role in Ocean’s 8 and also appeared in three episodes of HBO’s The Deuce, and he was in Law & Order True Crime (starring Mrs. Soprano herself, Edie Falco!) but was cut from the final version.
#4 He is a college student
Michael is a college student at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
