Dan Gregor is the proud husband of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend star Rachel Bloom –who was recently in charge of hosting from the Tony’s backstage.
Dan’s wife is an actress, singer, writer, producer and comedian who won a Golden Globe, Critics’ Choice and TCA Award –for co-creating and starring in the TV series “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.” According to her IMDb profile, Rachel was born April 3, 1987 in California. She attended NYU, Tisch School of the Arts in New York City for theater. She also studied improv and sketch at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in NY.
In 2010, her Internet music video, “F*ck Me, Ray Bradbury”, went viral and was nominated for a Hugo Award for “Best Dramatic Presentation: Short Form.” She has also released the musical comedy albums Please Love Me and Suck it, Christmas.
In 2015, the TV writer tied the knot to fellow comedian, Dan Gregor. Rachel who is pretty active on social media often posts about her hubby.
Dan Gregor –as we recently learned –following his wife’s awesome twitter response to Neil Patrick Harris –wrote for ‘How I Met Your Mother’ for 5 years. Notably, he wrote the episode where NPH’s character finally meets his father. Bloom reminded NPH of this following his tweet asking who she was while she hosted for the Tony’s.
Dan Gregor, is a Long Island, N.Y., native who was raised in a Conservative Jewish home. He studied at Upright Citizens Brigade. According to his IMDb, his work also includes writing for The Comedians, as well as his wife’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. His most recent work includes directing the 2018 comedy, Most Likely to Murder.
He has known his wife since they were kids, as Rachel used to go to his family’s house for Passover every year. After dating for six-years the two were married by a rabbi at Texas A&M University in 2015.
