Julia Koch is the lovely wife of billionaire businessman, political activist and chemical engineer, David Koch –of Koch Industries.



Julia’s husband is widely known as the wealthiest resident of Manhattan and together they make for New York’s richest couple.

David, a Kansas native born March 3, 1940; oversees Koch’s chemical technology group and shares majority control of Koch Industries, U.S’s second largest private firm, with his brother Charles. In case you didn’t know, Koch Industries, which has revenues of $100 billion, operates pipelines, produces fertilizer and makes Dixie cups and Quilted Northern toilet paper.

According to the New Yorker, it is well known that Charles has always been the brains behind the brothers’ vast corporate and political operations. Earlier this year, David’s retirement was announced.

David who is more socially prominent and often appears on social pages, is a well-known philanthropist; he is a donor to New York’s Lincoln Center and Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He actually ran as the Libertarian Party’s vice presidential candidate in 1980 on a ticket with Ed Clark; they won 1% of the vote.

He and wife Julia met on a blind date and have been married for over two decades. They tied the knot in 1996 at David’s house in Southampton.

The power couple have since welcomed three kids together, Mary Julia Koch, John Mark Koch and David Koch Jr.

Julia Koch was born in 1963 as Julia Margaret Flesher, to parents Margaret W. Flesher and Fredric C. Flesher. Her father is a former antiques dealer in Des Moines.

Julia Koch graduated from the University of Central Arkansas. Prior to her nuptials, she worked as the assistant to Adolfo, a renowned dress designer in New York. Nowadays, Julia Koch dedicates her time to her family and manages the Koch’s charitable fund. They have an estimated net worth of $47.5 billion.
