According to his profile, Tony is the Chief Technology Officer for ArrowStream. He has been with ArrowStream virtually since its inception and is responsible for all aspects of technology including Development, Quality Assurance, Technical Support, Documentation, Systems & Network Infrastructure and Data Management.

He had a Master of Science in Experimental Psychology and a Masters of Computer Science from the University of Dayton. Prior to starting his own company, DeFrances spent more than a decade in consulting and software development. DeFrances had more than 25 years of experience.

LaVoie was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital after he was shot once in the head and once in the stomach.

DeFrances requested a one-on-one meeting with the CEO, they both struggle for gun control and LaVoie resulted injured and Tony then turned the gun on himself.

Police said that the shooter had been told Friday that he was being demoted during company downsizing.

Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said Arrowstream has been undergoing a downsizing. “They’ve demoted a number of people.”
#9 He hid the gun on a backpack
The shooting happened on the 17th floor of the Bank of America building at 231 S. LaSalle St. in Chicago’s bustling Loop business district; the building does not have a metal detector and initial reports say DeFrances was carrying a backpack with him which concealed the firearm.

According to the company’s website DeFrances is described as a married father of three children. Among his possible relatives we found wife Eileen DeFrances, Bileen Deprances, Mike DeFrances and Kevin DeFrances.
