What a lovely day to be born right! Weeks, days, hours and minutes of media expectation are soon to be over! With the arrival of the son or daughter of the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge a.k.a Prince Williams and Kate Middleton could be just second away! With birth of the royal baby being one of the most anticipated events this year hundreds await weather live hanging out around the Buckingham Palace ready to snap a shot or waiting for news from the continuing live streams. So far Britain and the rest of us servants are still watching closely the tick and tock of the clock as Kate, mom to be enters her ninth hour of official baby job.
With no fanfare, no sirens and no police outriders, a dark Range Rover and a shiny new Audi nosed their way calmly through the traffic-free streets of London shortly after dawn this morning, covering the one and a half miles from Kensington Palace to the private Lindo Wing of St Mary’s hospital-the same hospital where soon to be first time dad William and soon to be uncle Harry were born- in a couple of minutes. The infant will instantly become the third in line to the throne; behind only grandfather Prince Charles and daddy Prince William.
The palace broke the news in a brief statement informing the arrival of the royal couple an hour later of their actual arrival, quote:
“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted this morning to St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London in the early stages of labor. The Duchess travelled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge.”
With the same anticipation and excitement we await for the official announcement of the birth that will be given through the Buckingham Palace where a signed bulletin carried from the hospital to the Palace will be posted on an easel in public view in front of the building! Can you imagine being there, how exciting! The document will inform the world about the baby’s gender, weight and time of birth; secondly the media will be informed and of course even if newly mom and dad would rather things quietly for those not within range of sight, the firing of 103 shots from cannons are expected to be heard exploding across the city — 62 from the Tower of London and 41 from Green Park …and then the whole world will know the royal baby is here.
Everything seems to be developing well in place so far; The 31-year-old Duchess of Cambridge could be even giving birth as you read, it could be any moment now, we could be minutes or even second away for the wait of the royal bundle of joy.
Are you also betting on the baby’s gender?? With not even Kate and Williams knowing the gender and they being a little off with Palace’s rules it’s a hard one to guess but many reporters seems to think it could be between Alexandra, Charlotte, James, Victoria, Diana, Elizabeth, George, Mary, Alice, Frances, Alexander and Grace.
