Helen Strickland is the distraught and anguished wife of country singer, Craig Strickland. Her 29-year-old singer husband is currently missing.

What’s worse, Morland’s body was found by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol on Monday in Kaw Lake, according to NBC News. He was 22-years-old.

Craig’s last tweet was precisely about his trip with Morland. On December 26th, Craig tweeted:

In case we don’t come back, @BackroadCRAIG and I are going right through Winter Storm Goliath to kill ducks in Oklahoma.  #IntoTheStorm

The pair left for the hunt around 2am Sunday. According to Oklahoma’s News 9, search efforts began after Strickland’s family had not made contact with him for 24 hours.

According to People Magazine, Helen Strickland took to her social media to ask for prayers to her husband of one year.

Helen Strickland is also a known figure in Arkansas. She is a former Miss Arkansas. On her Twitter account she also lets people know about her faith

Lovely Helen Strickland was born Helen Elizabeth Wisner in California and lived in Mesa, Arizona when she was adopted.

According to a profile page, Helen is a speech teacher and assistant golf coach at Shiloh Christian School in Springdale, Arkansas. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Arkansas in 2010, according to her LinkedIn.

From the Fall of 2010 to the Spring of 2012, Helen worked on her masters degree. In the fall of 2011, she began teaching undergraduate communication classes per a Teaching Assistantship and tutoring for the University of Arkansas Athletic Department. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority and part of the 2010 National Sprite Step Off winning team. Helen grew up in the North Little Rock area and graduated with honors in 2006 from North Pulaski High School.

It is a devastating day for Helen Strickland and the rest of Craig Strickland’s family. The search for her 29-year-old singer husband is over.

According to several media reports, Craig has been found dead, a week after he went missing. As we previously told you, the Backroad Anthem lead singer, was declared missing after he and his friend Chase Morleand never returned from their duck hunting trip last weekend. Their boat was found capsized and a search was launched.

Helen Strickland, had been updating fans about the search efforts, writing on Twitter: “Craig’s dog Sam has been found. His boat has been confirmed as being capsized. They are still searching for Craig. Please keep praying.”

After Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials confirmed the body found today, belongs to Helen Strickland’s husband, she showed her strength, tweeting

#CraigStrickland was found today. He is safe with his Father in Heaven. Thank you Lord for leading us to him today. I will praise you, Amen.

His body was recovered in Bear Creek Cove on Kaw Lake following a massive search in the area, north of Tulsa, Okla.
