Trudi Inslee

Trudi Inslee is the lovely wife of Politician, Jay Inslee –currently serving as governor of Washington.

Trudi’s husband has announced he is running for the Democratic nomination for President in the 2020 election.

Her husband is known as a vocal opponent of President Trump, he even sued him after Trump tried to ban immigration from several Muslim majority countries. He intends to make combating climate change the central rationale for his campaign.

Born Jay Robert Inslee on February 9, 1951; the Washington native graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in economics before earning his law degree at Willamette University. Jay worked as an attorney and prosecutor.

Inslee has been in elected office for much of the last three decades. He was first elected to the Washington House of Representatives in 1989 and was first elected to the US House of Representatives in 1992. Inslee, though, lost his re-election bid in 1994. After a failed 1996 gubernatorial election, he successfully ran for Congress again in 1998, a job he held until he successfully ran for governor in 2012.

Governor Inslee has been happily married to wife, Trudi for decades. The two met at Ingraham High School and were married in 1972. Together they raised three sons; Jack, Joe and Connor.

Trudi Inslee, also a Washington native, studied political science and sociology at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington.

Trudi has a career working with nonprofits. While raising their children in Selah, Washington –she enjoyed volunteering in her sons’ schools and with local nonprofits including CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), Planned Parenthood, NARAL Washington and Mothers Against Violence in America.

She is particularly drawn to programs and organizations serving women and children who are victims of sexual assault, homelessness and hunger.

According to the National Governors Association, she currently works with a nonprofit publisher and consultant on independent film documentaries.
