Matthew Kirschenheiter is the soon-to-be ex-husband of Gina Kirschenheiter –known as a reality TV star after appearing on Real Housewives of Orange County.
Matthew’s wife was apparently erroneously issued a warrant after she allegedly didn’t show up to her court date. But it was apparently all a mistake from the Orange County court system. Gina was stopped by police twice in a matter of days; first for driving under the influence and then for using her phone while driving.
She is in the middle of divorce proceedings but Gina isn’t the only in trouble with the law. Matthew was also pulled over this month for failing to obey a traffic sign. It seems they still have things in common after all!
Gina actually hails from Long Island, the blonde moved to Orange County due to her then husbands work. She and Matthew share three children together; Nicholas, 6, Sienna, 4, and Luca, 3. They were together for a total of seven years before deciding to go their separate ways. They have kept their separation amicably shooting down speculation that someone had cheated.
Matthew Kirschenheiter remained a bit of a mystery during season 13 of RHOC; at the beginning it was reported it was because of their relationship ending but in fact he couldn’t film because his employer apparently didn’t allow it.
In an attempt to defend him from fans, Gina said about him “He likes history books, and he watches Harry Potter almost every night. He’s kind of like a secret dork locked inside a really nice-looking package. So he’s good. He is a catch.”
Gina has also spoken highly of Matt saying he is a great provider and father to their three kids. This puzzled a lot of fans as to what was the reason for their divorce; however, last year, she spoke about the root of her marital issues, telling Andy Cohen she “wished Matt had been more expressive with his love for her during their marriage”
Matt Kirschenheiter worked and lived in Los Angeles during the week. Both Gina and Matt attended Hofstra University, where she studied psychology and he received a degree in Business Administration and Finance. Matt went on to become a financial planner. Matt is the Vice President, Regional Manage at PIMCO Investments, he previously worked for Merrill Lynch and Allianz Global Investors.
