Doug “Biggs” Ellison
Doug “Biggs” Ellison is the boyfriend of R&B, soulsinger-songwriter and actress, Chrisette Michele.
Doug’s girlfriend was born Chrisette Michele Payne on December 8, 1982. The New York native was born to a sociologist father and a psychologist, mother.
As a teen, Chrisette led gospel choirs. She holds a vocal performance degree from Five Towns College.
She is currently signed to her own label Rich Hipster and used to be a member of Motown.
Chrisette’s music has gone number 1 on the Billboard charts and she became a Grammy Award Winning singer songwriter for Best Urban/Alternative Performance for the song “Be OK” featuring hip hop singer will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas –in 2009.
She is also the recipient of a Soul Train Awards with Erykah Badu. She was a panelist at Beauty Con, and is the creator of the Pose n Post Symposium to raise awareness around female entrepreneurship.
She’s had notable collaborations including Rick Ross, Jay Z, Nas, The Roots, and Wale.
As an actress, she was casted in Love Jones The Musical as “Nina.”
The 34-year-old had been engaged to Doug “Biggs” Ellison since late 2015.
Doug “Biggs” Ellison is a music exec. He had a different childhood than his singer wife. Doug’s mother was deemed unfit to raise him so the New York grew up in different foster and group homes in Queens and Brooklyn.
According to his LinkedIn, Doug was officially adopted by his foster mother at age 12. Growing up he developed a passion for music and his childhood experiences influenced his love for hip hop.
He attended CUNY/Queensborough Community College, Five Towns College, and later at Full Sail University. He majored in business management and a minor in audio production.
While trying to make it in the music industry, he’s had a number of different jobs including chef, telemarketer, real estate agent, and manager at an insurance company.
In late 2003 he created his own production company, “Four Kings Production” –described as a state of the art full line Pre and Post Audio & Video Production and Management house, located in New York City.
Doug has found success with his company after Four Kings Productions works have been seen at the top of the billboard charts. The company has also produced many Radio Commercials, Blockbuster Hits and, Television Shows.
Doug “Biggs” Ellison met his songstress fiancée while attending Five Towns College. According to Bossip the couple made amends after years of litigation over a contract.
