Brandon Johnson
Brandon Johnson is the man who allegedly sold drugs to songstress Demi Lovato.
You may recall last July Demi was hospitalized due to a drug overdose and later she publicly said she needed help in her struggle with drugs. Having gone six years sober prior to her relapse, the 26-year-old had only admitted the month before her overdose that she was drinking again.
Paramedics raced to Lovato’s home July 24 for an unconscious female and she spent 2 weeks in the hospital after the OD.
Since then, Demi checked herself into a rehab center on the East Coast and made a brief trip to a facility in Chicago as well, TMZ reports.
So who was the man who supplied her drug crave? You guessed it, Brandon Johnson who actually spoke to media giving specific details of the text Demi sent him at 4am asking him to come to her home in Hollywood Hills. Brandon also made it clear Demi knew and was well aware the pills she was taking were the risky “aftermarket” variety.
Brandon did not named the exact pills she took but did say they were much ‘stronger’-sources close to the indecent believe Brandon may have given Demi oxycodone pills that were likely laced with fentanyl.
Johnson also revealed they are friends who fooled around sometimes and that he cares for her very much saying ‘I’m not here to hurt anybody”. He admitted they liked to ‘kick it’ meaning they got high together. It is unclear since when and how they came to know each other.
As for his legal situation TMZ reports he will not be having any trouble with police since an overdose is categorized as a medical emergency, and a self-induced one at that.
According to the Daily Mail however, Brandon Johnson is no stranger to jail, he’s been arrested twice in the past. Last March he was caught with narcotic substances, $10,000 worth of cash and even a loaded handgun on his person.
His Instagram bio reads, ‘North Hollywood Stash House General’ –In addition to Demi, he is also ‘close’ to other personalities including, Danielle Bregoli and the late rapper XXXTentacion.
