Joe Schrank is the longtime boyfriend of News anchor and media consultant, Laurie Dhue, she’s also the founder of Laurie Dhue Media.

Joe’s girlfriend is a well-known face in media, the blonde held anchor positions at all of the top three cable news networks: CNN, MSNBC and Fox News. Recent reports say the 49-year-old is suing former News Anchor Bill O’Reilly for defamation.

But for every success story there is a lot of baggage that more than likely not many are aware of. For the blonde it comes in the way of addictions. Dhue is a recovered alcoholic. Her 15-year-battle with alcoholism led her to become a voice calling for openness and access in the recovery movement. She serves on Caron’s New York Advisory Board and the boards of the National Youth Recovery Foundation and the Bridge Way School in Philadelphia.

Dhue a North Carolina native, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science with a concentration in dramatic arts. She has been in a long time relationship with partner, Joe Schrank.

Joe Schrank is the founder of High Sobriety, he’s had a long career in helping people find their recovery. He is currently listed as the program director. According to its website, 2017 marks twenty years of abstinence from all intoxicating substances for him. The couple obviously bonded through their struggle with addiction.

Schrank is also the co-founder of the Rebound Brooklyn. Joe’s clinical training and experience have led him to believe that addiction treatment in its current form is inherently flawed and limited. While attending USC he treated his depression with alcohol and avoidance. Once sober, he returned to study clinical social work at Iona College and in a masters program at the University of Illinois where his research was focused on college athletes with depression and alcohol abuse.

Previous jobs include him working at a residential therapist at Promises in Malibu, California. He is also the man behind ‘TheFix.com’ which continues as the premiere source of news and information about addiction and recovery.

Joe Schrank and Laurie Dhue have been engaged since 2014. She was previously married to Thomas Calcoate but the couple eventually divorced.
