Lisa Barsoomian is the attorney wife of Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein, who previously served as an attorney for the District of Maryland.



Lisa’s husband is the man who appointed special counsel Robert Mueller to investigate ties between the Trump campaign and Russia last year. Reports now say Trump’s lawyer has called on Rosenstein to shut down the federal probe, saying it’s time to put an end to it.

In case you didn’t know, Rod Rosenstein was confirmed as Deputy Attorney General last April –at the time he was the country’s longest-serving U.S. attorney.

He graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, with a B.S. in Economics and earned his J.D. cum laude in 1989 from Harvard Law School.

Before serving in President Donald Trump’s administration, Rod led a relatively low profile throughout his decades working inside the Justice Department. Rosenstein, born in Pennsylvania, on January 13, 1965 –joined the Justice Department in 1990 and moved up the organization over the span of nearly 30 years.

Lisa Barsoomian was born on January 15, 1968. The daughter of Armenian immigrants, graduated from Georgetown Law.

Lisa Barsoomian is a former prosecutor who later worked as a lawyer for the National Institutes of Health. She is known for having represented former president, Bill Clinton in 1998. She’s also represented Barack Obama and Kathleen Sebellius.

She has specialized in opposing Freedom of Information Act requests on behalf of the intelligence community. Most outlets say she currently works for R. Craig Lawrence.

After the couple began having children, Lisa took time off to raise their daughters, Julie and Allison. According to the NY Times, the family live in the Washington suburb of Bethesda, Md., in a brick raised ranch house.
