Sari Ehrenreich is the proud mother of Hollywood actor, Alden Ehrenreich –her 27-year-old son is currently one of the hottest actors in Hollywood.
Sari Ehrenreich must be on cloud nine since it was announced her son would become iconic Star Wars new Han Solo.
Mark & Sari Ehrenreich welcomed their only son November 22, 1989 in Los Angeles.
Sari Ehrenreich is the former Sari Newmann, she works as an interior designer; while her husband Mark Ehrenreich –worked in finances as an accountant. According to online info, Mark Shane Ehrenreich died aged 43 in 1997.
Their son who was famously discovered by Steven Spielberg at a friend’s bat mitzvah –began acting in elementary school in Pacific Palisades, California.
Story goes that Ehrenreich and a friend were requested by another friend to make one of their films for her bat mitzvah.
The film screened at the party and was seen by none other than Oscar-winner Steven Spielberg, who attend the bat mitzvah. The director’s production company DreamWorks contacted Ehrenreich and he met with the head of casting, Leslee Feldman.
Alden said during an interview despite his parents hesitation to let him go into acting, he owes his passion for movies to his mother.
In 2009, he told Flavorwire, “My mother always cultivated my imagination from the time I was very little.”
However, it would be some time before he would be allowed to pursue acting.
“My mom wouldn’t let me do child acting,” he told New York in 2009. In the meantime, he started making home movies with his friends.
Since the whole bat mitzvah debut, Alden has gone to appear in the films Tetro and Beautiful Creatures. He’s also starred in the 2016 Coen Brothers film Hail, Caesar! He also got to work with Park Chan-Wook (“Stoker”), Woody Allen (“Blue Jasmine”) before landing Star Wars.
Ehrenreich was shortlisted for the role of Harry Osborn in the sequel to “The Amazing Spider-Man.” However he lost the role to Dane DeHaan. Just as the actor has experience in losing out on big roles, he’s also not new to beating out every other young actor for one either. Warren Beatty has been trying to mount his Howard Hughes biopic for years, and in the end, even though actors like Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake and Garrett Hedlund were all considered for the young male lead, Ehrenreich won the part.
