James DePaiva is the soap actor husband of actress, Kassie DePaiva. His Days of our Lives star wife, has announced her battle against Leukemia.



In her announcement, James’s wife says she as spent 6 weeks in the hospital and that she will continue her treatment for the next three months. The mom, wife and actress, also reveals her prognosis is good, saying she will not likely need a stem cell/bone marrow transplant.

In 2015 Kassie was nominated for a Daytime Emmy, Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for the role of Blair on One Life To Live. This year she was nominated Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for the role of Eve on Days of Our Lives.

James’s wife was born Katherine Virginia Wesley on March 21, 1961. The Kentucky native is notable for her acting work. Her career includes roles in One Life to Live, We Are What We Are, General Hospital, Exit, Guiding Light, Evil Dead II.

Kassie has been married to “One Life to Live” co-star James DePaiva since 1996. The following year the couple welcomed their only child.

Kassie gave birth to son, James Quentin, also known as JQ. The couple’s son was born deaf, which prompted Kassie to work with a number of charities that help the deaf, including the League for the Hard of Hearing, the Deafness Research Foundation, and the Clark School for the Deaf.

James DePaiva was born on October 8, 1957 in Livermore, California, as James Paul DePaiva. Before getting the acting bug, he was the bassist in the band Livewire.

According to his IMDb page, the actor and director, is known for his work on General Hospital (1963), One Life to Live (1968) and As the World Turns (1956). The soap actor is best known for his role as Max Holden on One Life to Live. He has also had guest roles on Square One Tv, Mathnet and Simom & Simon.

Kassie is James’s third wife. He was previously married to Misty Rowe and Patti Hansen.

His first marriage was to Patti Hansen in 1981 and they divorced in 1983.

Three years later in 1986, he wedded second wife, actress, Misty Rowe with whom he became the father of one daughter, Dreama Marie –who was born in 1992. He ended his second marriage in 1995.
