34-year-old Robin Anne Deen is the wife of late police officer Benjamin Deen, 34. Her husband is one of the officers tragically killed in the line of duty during a traffic stop Saturday night.
The deaths of officers Benjamin Deen and Liquori Tate, 25 were confirmed by Forrest County Coroner Butch Benedict.
Reports describe her hubby as a K-9 officer. He was taken to Forrest General Hospital, where he died shortly after arriving. Manny are still in shock following the deaths of the officers, calling it a “senseless” act.
Media reports say Robin’s husband and his partner were making a traffic stop Saturday evening when they were shot. They both have been called “humble souls.”
Robin is obviously a proud wife, in 2012 Benjamin was honored with by the Exchange Club and Robin posted a photo captioned: “So proud of my hubby!”
According to her Facebook profile she belongs to the Sumrall High School class of 1998 in Sumrall, Mississippi. She also attended Sumrall Attendance Center and Pearl River Community College in Poplarville, Mississippi. By the photos we can tell the couple had met since they were very young and have two children together, two daughters.
Robin has listed several family members including one sisters named Amy Walker Tolito; brother-in-law Josh Deen and mother-in-law Mary Ellen Deen.
The suspects are believed to have stolen a police cruiser, they fled immediately after the shooting. Four have been arrested in connection with the investigation.
