De’Von Pickett: Nicki Minaj’s Team Member

29-year-old De’Von Pickett, a member of singer Nicki Minaj’s team was killed! Reports say Pickett and another member of Nicki’s team were involved in an altercation that ended in De’Von getting stabbed.

As Nicki Minaj explains on social media, De’Von and partner Eric Parker flew into Philadelphia for her tour rehearsals and were both stabbed Tuesday night. While Eric is recovering De’Von sadly didn’t make it.

According to his Facebook page, in 2004 he attended The Brooklyn school for Global Studies

in Brooklyn, New York. In 2007 he studied Business Management at Monroe College.

He is a former Musician Referral and A&R Consulting for Derrick Wright and Driven, he previously worked at DW PROJECT as an A&R Consultant. According to his LinkedIn he is the co-founder of BK NERD & CO.

Many in the industry have paid tributes to De’Von, singer K. Michelle posted on her Instagram: “I’m in real shock. Woke up this morning to some awful news that you passed. My heart is broken. You managed my first tour ever the “Rebellious Soul Tour” You Were so supportive and excited about the growth of my career. When are we going to stop killing eachother? They don’t even know they took away one of the best. You’ve guided so many careers. The road for many artist won’t be the same. My heart hurts @daydaydoesdis Praying for your family and I know you are in a better place.”

His favorite quote reads “If it doesn’t make dollars it doesn’t make sense!!!”  Apparently the incident occurred when a fight broke out inside Che Bar & Grill, reports. NBC.

He was close to his mother and grandmother.

His attacker managed to scape and police is investigating. Our condolences to his family.
