Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is keeping busy answering letters from fans now. He maintained his innocence and let his feeling show when he wrote a letter from jail to a fan. Collin Imm wrote first to Hernandez according to Radar Online who obtained the letter exclusively from Collin.
“I miss my little girl terribly an (sic) my biggest fear of all is she won’t [know]daddy,”
Hernandez wrote in a two-page, handwritten jailhouse letter to pen pal Collin Imm, and mentioned missing his baby daughter. Accused killer Aaron Hernandez fears a potential lifetime behind bars, and the sad potential of never knowing his baby daughter. The former New England Patriots tight end appeared to grasp the grim reality writing:
“My biggest fear of all is she won’t know daddy,”
Born in November, Avielle Janelle is the daughter he fears he won’t get to know but she surely will know who he is and what he did. Hernandez, writing from a North Dartmouth, Mass., prison, is accused in the death of friend Olin Lloyd, whose bullet-riddled body was found near Hernandez’ home in June. He has pleaded not guilty and also expressed his innocence to Collin.
The letter to Imm, postmarked July 17, also said,
“I’m a great dude. Don’t believe all the negative publicity,”
The fallen football star also shares with Imm personal interest like telling him his first sports love was actually basketball.
“We actually have something in common because my dream as a kid was to play in NBA an (sic) is still my favorite sport but had a better chance in football!”
Can you imagine with so much time to kill, Hernandez told Imm that he appreciated his correspondence and support.
“I’m doing fine but wanted to write you and definitely wanted to say thanks for the support!”
“Hope to hear back from you if wanted! Please keep this private is all I ask!”
According to the letter he implies Collin is a basketball fan, so we found a twitter account under the name of Collin Imm; in his feed it reads “basketball all day n watching sports is my life” There is also a link to his Facebook profile but is currently closed. But you can find him on MySpace here as well with the same picture.
Collin is a young sports follower and like many just wants to hear the truth from the man himself, probably one of Aaron’s biggest fans to have taken the time to write him a letter instead of judging right away.
According to another Facebook profile with his name and picture Collin’s hometown is Milwaukee, WI and currently lives in Oshkosh, WI. He is a student at Wautoma High School in Wautoma, Wisconsin.
