Meet Kenneth Aldrich

Kenneth Aldrich was married to actress Yvonne Craig, who sadly died on August 17 from cancer. Reports say Craig who was 78, lost her life to breast cancer, that spread to her liver.



According to her her website, she passed away at her home in Pacific Palisades, surrounded by her immediate family. She had been battling cancer for two years.

Her obituary says she is survived by her husband, Kenneth Aldrich, her sister Meridel Carson and nephews Christopher and Todd Carson.

Yvonne Joyce Craig married twice, first to musician and actor, Jimmy Boyd. She was married to Boyd form 1960-1962. After a year of marriage, Boyd was drafted into the Army and was stationed in Texas, the separation ultimately led the couple to divorce.

In 1988 she married second husband, Kenneth Aldrich with who she was married till her death.

Craig is best known for her role of batgirl which she played in the 1960s television series Batman. Beofre landing her TV role, she was first trained as a ballet dancer. In the 1950’s she was a member of the corps de ballet of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo and later transitioned to acting.

She appeared in several films before moving to television, among them we can mention The Young Land, The Gene Krupa Story, and Gidget.

Yvonne also performed alongside Elvis Presley in two films: It Happened at the World’s Fair and Kissin’ Cousins. In the 60’s she began her TV career appearing in several shows, the two most notable being as Batgirl and the Orion slave girl Marta in the Star Trek: The Original Series.

77-year-old Kenneth and Yvonne were married for 27-years. He is a former attorney and real estate entrepreneur, Aldrich has been an investor in early-stage companies, primarily in life sciences, since the early ’90s.

According to  his LinkedIn page, he’s been the president of The Aldrich Company –a real estate investment firm –for over 40-years. He also founded International Stem Cell Corporation in 2001 –a biotechnology company focused on developing therapeutic and research products through a proprietary stem cell technology.

He is also the director of the Green Dot Corporation. Mr. Aldrich holds an A.B. in history and literature from Harvard University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
