Shaneka Thompson: Cop Killer Ismaaiyl Brinsley’s ex-Girlfriend

Meet Shaneka Thompson, she is the ex-gal of Ismaaiyl Brinsley, the man who shot and killed two NYPD officers before committing suicide in Brooklyn’s Bed Stuy neighborhood.

Reports say 29-year-old Shaneka became the first target of Brinsley; before his shooting spree, he shot his ex-girlfriend in the stomach at her apartment in Maryland.

According to her LinkedIn, she is a health insurance specialist for the Veterans Administration. She has worked at the Department of Veterans Affairs and Pope Army Air Field. Her summary reads: “Experienced at directing administrative and personnel matters in all aspects of health care. A Strong problem-solver with excellent time management skills and a record of managing personnel, facility operations, and administrative duties while providing the highest quality of care.”

She hold a Bachelor’s degree in  Mathematics from Francis Marion University and a Master’s degree, Health Services Administration from Strayer University.

According to her relatives Miss Thompson is expected to recover. She was shot with the same gun that killed NYPD officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu.

She and Brisnley had been dating earlier this year but its not known further details about their relationship.

Shaneka currently resides in the Baltimore suburb of Owings Mills, M.D.
