Emmanuel Hostin is the husband of Asuncion Cummings, better known as The View’s co-host, Sunny Hostin.



Emmanuel’s wife is claiming to have been a victim of racial harassment –the incident happened over the 4th of July holiday she revealed today at The View.

The NY native shared the story saying a large group of young emerged before the beachfront home she was renting with friends, chanting racial slurs. She said she heard things like “This is America, we are patriots, this is our holiday”

Sunny, an attorney – is the Senior Legal Correspondent & Analyst for ABC News and co-host of ABC’s The View. She was previously a legal analyst and host for CNN, and “American Morning,” where she became known for her in depth analysis of social justice and legal issues. She created, wrote and co-produced her popular weekly segment, “Sunny’s Law.”

The 49-year-old had been spending the holiday with her family and friends, she’s been happily married for years.

Emmanuel Hostin is a surgeon of Haitian heritage. The couple has been married since 1998 and are the proud parents of two children, Paloma and Gabriel.

Dr. Emmanuel Hostin is a sports doctor and orthopedic surgeon, according to a profile, his office is in Long Island City, New York and is affiliated with Mount Sinai West, Lenox Hill Hospital, and Mount Sinai St. Luke’s. He graduated from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and has had a New York State Medical License since 2002.

His medical office is Hostin Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, P.C. It is located on the Upper East Side in Manhattan. Dr. Emmanuel is also an avid runner and recently participated on a NY’s triathlon.

In addition, Emmanuel Hostin and his famous wife are also co-owners of the restaurant, Alvin & Friends in New Rochelle, New York.
