Jwan Yosef is the handsome painter boyfriend of sizzling Puerto Rican singer, Ricky Martin. Yosef’s boyfriend is known for being a Latin super star and the couple seem to be very serious about their relationship. Keep reading to know Jwan Yosef’s biography.



Before becoming the star he is today, Ricky Martin born, Enrique “Maciel” Martín Morales on December 24, 1971; was a teen idol in the all-boy pop group, Menudo.

Martin lived his homosexuality in secret for many years before he came out in 2010. He had a number of heterosexual relationships with women from industry, including Mexican model, Rebecca de Alba.

Martin –who is the father of twin boys, Matteo and Valentino –recently announced he and Yosef took their relationship to the next level by getting engaged.

Just last month the Livin’ La Vida Loca hitmaker announced his engagement to Yosef on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. He was full of pride as he showed off his ring on the chat show.

So who is, the man that stole Ricky Martin’s heart?

Jwan Yosef is a 32-year-old Syrian born artist who was raised in Sweden. Hunky Yosef was born September 6, 1984.

From 2004-2006, he attended Pernby School of Painting, Stockholm. From 2006-2009 Yosef obtained a BA Fine art, from the Stockholm based, Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design.

He also holds a MA Fine art, from the Central Saint Martins, London which he gained between 2010-2011.

Yosef had held numerous exhibitions that date since 2007. Since then, he has taken part in over 30 group exhibitions and has done at least two solo exhibitions.

Accoridng to his website, in 2013 he won the Threadneedle Prize, Exhibiting Artist. On the same year he also became the recipient of the BEERS Contemporary, Award for Emerging Art, Winner Painting.

The Swedish-raised painter who specializes in plastic arts, according to wikipedia –is currently based in London.

In 2015 he exhibited at Galleri Bon with group exhibition There and Back Again with fellow Konstfack graduates Josef Bull, Petr Davydtchenko and Natasja Loutchko. He is a founding member and studio holder at The Bomb Factory Art Foundation in Archway, North London.

According to the Bomb Factory Art Foundation, Yosef’s subject matter “oozes a mind of dualism, a constant search for approval and the process of an initiation. Whether it is a religious rite, confirmation or college hazing, his work becomes thoroughly self-referential.”

It also claims, the use of different materials has come to play a big role in his practice, not only in the process of his painting, but also in the interpretation of the subject.
