Patrice Failor FBI James Comey’s Wife

Patrice Failor

Patrice Failor is the longtime wife of James Comey, the current Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

It appears we’ll be hearing a lot about her husband in the upcoming days, as Comey could have won the most hated person -by democrats- award, during a presidential race.

Comey announced on Friday that a newly discovered batch of emails had prompted him to take another look at the email investigation that has put a shadow on Hillary Clinton’s candidacy.

Today, reports say, Comey could become the subject of an investigation as well. That is if it’s proven whether he has interfered in an election.

The New York native, graduated from the College of William & Mary and the University of Chicago Law School. According to his FBI bio, following law school, Comey served as an assistant United States attorney for both the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District of Virginia.

Comey returned to New York to become the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York. In 2003, he became the deputy attorney general at the Department of Justice (DOJ).

He left DOJ in 2005 to serve as general counsel and senior vice president at defense contractor Lockheed Martin. Five years later, he joined Bridgewater Associates, a Connecticut-based investment fund, as its general counsel.

He became the FBI director in 2013.

Patrice Failor tied the knot to James Comey in 1987. Patrice and her husband welcomed six children: Abby, Brien, Collin, Claire, Maurene and Kate Comey.

In 1995 however, the couple suffered the terrible loss of infant son, Collin. According to an open letter Patrice Failor wrote, their 9-day-old son died from a Group B strep infection.

Son Brien, played basketball at Kenyon College.

Patrice Failor also known as Patrice Comey, grew up in northern Virginia, and in Iowa. She met her then future husband as a freshman in 1978, as they both attended William and Mary College in Williamsburg, Virginia.

After graduating the school, Patrice Comey worked in Student Affairs.

Patrice was praised by her husband in 2013, after he was appointed FBI director, saying

Nearly everything I am and have done in my adult life is due to the great good fortune of marrying up.

Patrice Failor is a former Bridgeport Superior Court volunteer.

She and her family live the good life. The family has a net worth of at least eleven million. She and hubby had $5 million in stocks, including investments in Exxon Mobile, Hormel Foods, Berkshire Hathaway, and other companies.
