Mrs. Michelle  Shields; the mother-in-law of Devin Patrick Kelley, she attended the church where her son-in-law killed 26 people including the 14-year-old daughter of Pastor Frank Pomeroy, whose wife Sherri is very close to Mrs. Shields.

Michelle’s daughter Danielle Lee Shields was married to Devin Kelley, who opened fire at First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, killing 26 people and injuring more before killing himself.

Among the victims was 14-year-old daughter of church’s pastor Frank Pomeroy; the burden in Mr. Shields’ heart is heavy for all the people killed in the massacre, so many of them were close to her; Michelle Shields is one of Sherri Pomeroy’s best friends.

But even harder for Michelle is that Kelley also killed her beloved mother, Lula Woicinski White.

Covering for Pastor Frank Pomeroy was Bryan Holcombe, his wife Karla also a close friend of both Michelle and Sherri, was killed by Kelley along her husband, their son Marc Daniel Holcombe, 36, one-year-old granddaughter Noah Holcombe, and their pregnant daughter-in-law Crystal; three of Crystal’s five children, also died  in the shooting as well.

Michelle and her husband Benjamin Shields attended First Baptist Church, luckily, neither was at the church at the time of the shooting.

Furthermore, Michelle Shields formerly known as Michelle Brassfield was, as a matter of fact, born Michelle Lorene White on September 5, 1963; studied at James Madison High School in San Antonio. She was 21 when she married her first husband, Donald Curtis Brassfield, on April 11, 1986; believed to be Danielle’s father.

After she divorced Mr. Brassfield Mrs. Shield married Benjamin Shields; in April 2003; together they have one son, David. According to recent reports, Kelley sent threatening messages to his mother-in-law.
